In fact, each customer project is assigned a multifunctional team, including experts from each of those six areas, to assure the highest-quality, most cost-effective results:

R&D performs experimental work on customer feed samples, including a computer simulation of the process for a quick ballpark-cost estimation. This experimental work also includes simulation in laboratory glassware that models the distillation equipment in the plant. For synthesis projects, R&D identifies and validates the best chemistry route to the customer’s molecule, runs the selected chemistry in lab glassware that models the reactors in the plant, and ensures proper technology transfer from lab to production by means of extensive assistance during first production campaigns.

EH&S reviews for environmental and safety concerns.

Customer Service makes it easy for customers to do business with Dow Haltermann by arranging seamless order fulfillment, documentation and customer financial services.

Supply Chain arranges for incoming materials and shipment of product and leftovers.

Production reviews the feasibility of the simulation and manages operations
